DISH Network Launches its Fifteenth Satellite


DISH Network, a leading name in satellite TV entertainment in the United States has launched a brand new satellite in the orbit on March 21th 2010. The satellite is the 15th satellite from DISH Network stable. With the continuous launch of new satellites, the pay TV provider is trying hard to offer nothing but the best entertainment to its viewers. The launch of the new satellite also promises to enhance the TV viewing experience of the viewers. The new satellite is known as EchoStar XIV and it is the 15th in orbit satellite for DISH Network which is the highest number of in orbit satellite for any satellite TV provider in the industry. The satellite was launched on 21st March from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

With the launch of this new satellite DISH Network is looking forward to expand its HD entertainment. At present the company offers as many as 160 channels. The company claims to have the largest number of HD channels in the United States. When the new satellite will become functional in late spring, the company will be able to broadcast more than 200 HD channels which will help it remain in the number one position in the HD entertainment.
