‘Southland’ renews for Season 3 on Satellite TV


Are you a ‘Southland’ fan? Then you can have a number of reasons to rejoice. TNT, the popular satellite TV channel, has confirmed that they have picked up the DISH TV show for a third season. So you can have a jolly good time watching your favorite programs on satellite TV.

The satellite TV channel has ordered 10 more episodes of ‘Southland’, the critically acclaimed cop show. TNT has picked the show up after NBC canceled the popular show in last fall. The Season 3 of ‘Southland’ is scheduled to air on January.

‘Southland’ has a stimulating story line. The complex characters have helped the show gain popularity quickly. Michael Wright, the programming boss of TNT, says, “These qualities have made ‘Southland’ a favorite among critics and appointment viewing for an extremely loyal audience.”

TNT has aired 13 episodes from the show back to back early this year. The first seven episodes have already been aired on NBC in the year 2009 and at that time it has only got a fair rating. But for Season 2, episodes of ‘Southland’ got better responses.

The six episodes of the second season that are aired on TNT has got over 2.7 million viewers. Over half of these viewers belong to the most important 18-49 age group. This is a great achievement for any show. The DISH Network channel also considers ‘Southland’ as its youngest original series. The series has a median viewer age of 47.

Starring Ben McKenzie and Michael Cudlitz as LAPD patrol officer, the series is an amazing show that has all the elements of drawing people’s attention.
